Margaret's Message
For a woman to be good, she must always get after her husband. She must make sure her husband works and takes care of the family. She must strive to make a good life.
A good woman makes sure she has a house that is neat and clean. She should make sure that there is peacefulness and calm in the house. She should not yell or use a loud voice to speak to members of the family.
The woman is the root of the family. She must be strong to encourage and to make sure that the work of all family members is respected and done in a good way. She must always encourage the husband to work hard. A woman who cannot do this will not have a good home.
A woman should know about holy things and how to take care of them. She should not touch them if she has not been transferred the right. If she has been transferred the right to handle these things then she will be the only one to handle these things.
A woman should never hit her children. It makes children crazy if you hit them. This is what my late mother used to say to me. You should not spank your children. You should always speak to your children gently. You should always use a quiet voice to talk about important things. You must make sense of things to your children and teach them to listen to kind words. You must teach them by example.
If your children have bad luck, you need to be kind to them. Kindness will help them recover from bad luck. For you and your spouse to have a good life, you need to always be kind to one another. You must listen to their problems and you need to share and live with kindness and respect. If a couple is kind to one another, they will stay together for a long time. In a marriage, a woman who is abused will leave. Those marriages do not last. If a woman is treated badly, then the man is bad.
Margaret says that the man should make the family plans but that today because most women are wearing pants they are making the plans too. She does not agree with women wearing pants or making all the plans for the family. If the woman respects the man, she would listen to his plans. Margaret says she respects all men.
In-laws should all be treated with respect and kindness. There is love and pride that should be shared with in-laws. There should be a strong bond in the family. The sisters and brothers should take care of one another's children. They should always be kind to one another. In Margaret's family, the sisters and brothers had the right to discipline each other's children.
To show respect for your husband, you should take care of his clothes. You should always keep things clean so he can be a proud man. You make sure and take care of all his eating, ensure that he is healthy and that the food is plentiful.
